All pieces are oil paint on Masonite and pine constructed panels. The panels were routed to achieve a soft, rounded effect and finished with a gloss Damar varnish. Each piece combines some representational element existing in a completely fictional environment. At the time of creation the subject matter to me was completely secondary to the surroundings that each exists in. The focus with these pieces was on textures, shadows (combining drop shadows and cast shadows) and depth. These paintings were initially designed not to need framing (the art wraps around the edges of each panel).
I am currently represented by the Revealed Art Gallery in Charleston, SC. good stuff there, you should check it out.
